What exactly does a heat exchanger do in a packaged heating & AC unit?
If they heat exchanger goes bad, what are the symptoms of this?
yes it’s gas heat
Is this is a package unit with gas heat? The heat exchanger is the part that heats the air. The blower forces the room air around the exchanger which heats it. The gas burner heats the inside of the exchanger.
If it gets a crack or rusts out you will have combustion byproducts entering the building.
