Are your air conditioning filter and furnace filter the same thing?
If your air conditoner is a central A/C and uses the blower in your furnace to move the air around then there is only the furnace filter to worry about. Window A/C’s have a chintzy filter that can be accessed from the inside front of the unit. If your central A/C moves the air via an air handler you will find an air filter located within or adjacent to the air handler.
