How difficult is it to replace a run capacitor in a central air unit?
I know you guys are going to laugh but my ex wifes central air capacitor needs to be replaced and I bought one for $16 and was thinking about replacing it myself. How difficult is it to replace?
not hard at all, first you need to make sure it’s discharged by grounding the terminals (capacitors hold a charge) ALSO make sure the power is off before doing this, then remove the mounting screw (s) and disconnect the leads. Install the new capacitor and re-connect the terminals easy as 1-2-3
