Does anyone have any experience with the National Energy Rebate Fund for refunds installing air conditioning?
Sounds kind of fishy to me, but our AC technician/salesman came to give estimates and he mentioned up to a $21,000 rebate from this company (http://nationalenergyrebatefund.com/). Thing is, you don’t get your refund for 47 months! Interesting…
That web site looks like some scam that has you buy or pay upfront then you never make any money because the rules are so confusing. The government does offer tax credits for certain Energy Star products. That is totally separate from the company selling the product. Any legitimate company offering a rebate will give documentation after the installation & will require you to submit the info prior to the warranty expiration.
