I think my air units is too small for my house and idont know how to prove it. who can do a j form for hvac?
i brought a new house from centex homes and they only put one 400 ton unit in for a 2704 sq ft two level home. they have came an balanced it but it is still not working right. they want to do a zone system but want to give me the money and i pay their hvac sub contractor to do it. when i told them that my unit was too small they gave me a j form (which i could not understand) and told me i had the right size unit.i have had other companies tell me my unit is too small but no one will put it on paper. plus the other houses that were built after mine have two units, even the one level homes what do i need to do inorder to get a bigger unit.
they have an arbitration clause so i cant go to court.

Most A/C companies will run a mile to get away from a customer like yourself. Not due to you personally, it’s just the legal aspect they do not want to get involved with. Let’s face it there is no benefit to them really in stepping forward.
There is an organization you might contact called ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) who might be able to help.
