brazed plate heat exchanger

i need to determine if a brazed plate heat exchanger is ok for my conditions?
the system will heat water using steam, the water must keep a temperature of 80degres celcius
So, what are your conditions?
I am curious as to why you might want to use a plate exchanger rather than a shell and tube exchanger?
Heating water with steam can be a problem depending on the quality of the water and steam. You can be deposits on both sides of the exchangers. A plate type exchanger is not easy to clean or repair. I think it would work okay but could be a real problem if it becomes contaminated with deposits.
I suggest you contact the Trane company in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. They have manufactured these type of exchangers for sometime.
