what is the term “DPI” mean in variable speed drives?
I don’t think that “DPI” has any common use in the variable speed drives field. I found some Allen-Bradley drive literature referring to “DPI communications products,” but “DPI” was not defined. I think that refers to networking drives with PLCs, process control computers etc. Perhaps DPI means “digital process interface” or something like that.

In Allen-Bradley literature, “DPI” apparently means “Drive Peripheral Interface.” That usage is apparently unique to Allen-Bradley.
